So what if its work?? Even work wear has a right to be in sync with the latest trends. Even women hard at work in their claustrophibic offices deserve to look chic and dress smart!! In fact I am of the opinion that women at work ought to dress smarter, because they get noticed the most!

Remember that the first rule of fashion is comfort! If you are not comfortable with what you wear, the outfit is never going to look good on you! NEVER!
So wear what you are comfortable wearing.
If your office shuts out sunlight in favour of the modern airconditioning. Aim for the trousers. They are definitely warmer than the light salwar khameezes and a touch more comfortable. They give you the liberty of movement.
The golden rule of trousers is that they can NEVER be teamed up with Tees! It is as good as teaming fishes with wings or rabbits with cheese. Its a combination that might just work but will never be accepted!
Despite what the tonne says, fashion is a craze only when it is openly accepted. You have to look good and you have to appear soothing to the other eyes. A delight, a stress reliever!
Shirts and trousers are always the best combination!
Then the usual contrats or compliments depends entirely on your personality!
